Chinese Dragon Head for Miss Saigon

Working with Macgyver Models for the touring Miss Saigon, this dragon head was built ergonomically at less than 10kg weight for easy dancing performance.

The process involved three stages: a maquette in clay, a pattern in cardboard and then a pattern in sheet foam. After the hollow form was created, I inlaid a lightweight armature and controls.
