The Blowfly, Sydney Olympic Games, for SOCOG

The Blowfly was commissioned by S.O.G.O.C. for the Sydney Olympic Games. At 8 x 4 x 3m, The Blowfly had to be super lightweight to fly across the stadium, hence the head is a fiberglass hollow form, the body is a hollow aluminium exomet form and the wings are aluminium pipe all covered in fabrics.
