These works envision human life as only a small part of complex networks of ecosystems comprising oceans and intertidal zones. Taking on scientific and philosophical considerations, I question our ability to care about the effects we have on other organisms.
Throughout the creation of these works, I consider the coevolution of anthropogenic physical effects in our world such as climate change, colonisation, and extinction.
In this exhibition, I present works in thermoplastics, body casts with feathers and carved wooden low relief works which have been blowtorched and overlaid with hardened waxes.
